This month we talk to Hawaiian Alyssa about life living in Oahu, Hawaii...
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would honestly love to live on Kauai! I visited the island for a week and it was the best week of my entire life. An ideal day for me would be to surf in the morning, hike,explore and eat yummy food during the day and then skate in the evening, which is excactly what we did every day there!
What is your favourite meal to cook, and will you share the recipe with us?
Arghh, I always wish I was better at cooking (or cooked at all), but one go-to meal I have perfected is what I like to call a monkey bowl! It's so easy and yummy and you really can't mess this one up, trust me!!
1 frozen banana
1 scoop vanilla whey protein
Half a cup of almond milk
2 spoonfuls peanut butter
1 cup ice
Blend together
Toppings:
Honey
Granola
Chocolate chips
Banana
If you were stuck on an island and could choose one Eau Paix Vie bikini and two other items, what would you take?
I think the coco top and pineapple print bottoms are SO cute together!
I would also definitely bring a sleep number bed because those things are SICK and if the times got tough I could just simply sleep my problems away hehe! I would also bring a surfboard and hope there were waves on the island :)
If you had to choose, would you prefer no Snapchat or no Instagram for the month?
I would have no snapchat, I don't really snap all that much these days because I'm usually with the people I would snap in the first place! The only reason I usually snap someone these days is to keep up my streak with them lol!
What does your exercise plan look like, and can you give us any tips?
I wish I worked out more but I really just love staying active by doing things that I already love to do! I don't exercise at the gym or have a plan- that being said I do have to go outside every day and swim, surf, skate or hike! If I don't get one of those things in for the day, it must have been a pretty bad day!
So you live on Hawaii's beautiful North Shore, tell us about your favourite places to grab a bite to eat of have coffee there...
We don't have many places to get coffee on North Shore but I LOVE the canned Kona mochas you can get at any Hawaiian grocery store. My favorite place to eat is called the Elephant Truck... It's the most bomb Thai food I've ever had! Make sure you order their Panang curry :)
We are always seeing so many amazing hikes in Hawaii, can you recommend some for us please?
It's sad because more than half of the hikes on Oahu are illegal now but my favorite hikes that were okay to go on are called Malekahana Falls and The Sunset Pillbox Hike. Malekahana Falls is a 3 mile round trip hike that goes through the prettiest landscapes. First it looks like your in Asia, then you're hiking through a bamboo forest, then you arrive at a double tiered waterfall... It's insanely beautiful! I also like to hike Sunset Pillbox at least once a week, it's an easy 30 min nature walk up and it has the most incredible aerial view of all of north shore!
